Apple Store Briarwood Leopard Trip

October 28 Shane Pransky and I drove up to Ann Arbor this evening to stand in line with about 200 other Apple folk in order to be the first people to purchase Mac OS X Leopard.

We arrived at the Briarwood mall around 5:30 and got in line. We were in position 101 and 102. Within 15 minutes the line had doubled in size to around 200 people. Apple employees walked up and down the line handing bottles of water to the Mac faithful. At 6 PM we heard hooting and hollering from the front of the line and it soon began to move.

Once inside, all of the customers were handed a free Mac OS X Leopard t-shirt and dozens of people were milling about checking out the latest Apple hardware and software offerings. Leopard was installed on all of the demo computers and we had a chance to test drive it.
